The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to field its candidates in all the elections going to be held in Andhra Pradesh hereafter, according to party General Secretary V. Ram Madhav.
“Be it the election to the local bodies or Parliament, the BJP candidates are going to be in the fray from all the seats and they will make their presence felt in all the elected bodies,” he said while addressing a public meeting as part of the party’s ongoing enrolment drive here on Sunday.
“The Congress could not send even a single legislator either to the Assembly or Parliament from Andhra Pradesh. It shows the sorry state of affairs of the party, not just in Andhra Pradesh, but all over India,” he said.
Lambasting the Congress for taking corruption to new heights, Mr. Ram Madhav said the previous UPA government had failed in distribution of the Central aid to flood victims of Jammu and Kashmir in a proper manner.
Referring to the ‘Swacch Bharat’ campaign, Mr. Ram Madhav said the programme should reach every household as it would help achieving complete sanitation as well as health and hygiene.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clean image was helping the BJP strengthen its cadre everywhere and people were confident that the country’s future was safe in the hands of Mr. Modi.
