Returning Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP hit out at him calling him a great failure for the state.

Speaking on Day 2 of India Today Conclave South today (December 22), BJP general secretary said Chandrababu Naidu’s government in Andhra Pradesh is known for lack of development, corruption and family raj (rule) in the state.

“The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has become the other side of the Congress raj,” he said.

He said the Naidu government has been a complete failure.

Earlier in the conclave, Chandrababu Naidu had launched a frontal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him a “negative character” who spoiled the Indian economy. He also came down heavily on the Modi government calling it a “total disaster”. Alleging that the nation felt cheated because of the Centre’s policies, he said the BJP was spoiling the nation.

Returning the charge in the same coin, Ram Madhav alleged that one leader who has thoroughly destroyed democracy in Andhra Pradesh, it was Chandrababu Naidu.

He said Naidu was not releasing development funds to four BJP MLAs and snooping on the people.

“Chandrababu Naidu is acting like a dictator,” he said.

Ram Madhav said the BJP did not have anything against Chandrababu Naidu. But one fine morning, the Andhra Pradesh government decided to quit the BJP-led NDA alliance.

He said Naidu needed an escape goat and he found it in the centre.

Seeking to remind Chandrababu Naidu of the cordial relations that he enjoyed with the BJP in the past, Ram Madhav said the Andhra Pradesh had passed a resolution praising the Modi government.

Ram Madhav said Chandrababu Naidu quit the alliance quit the NDA purely due to political compulsions. “However, the TDP should have been more responsible in quitting the NDA,” he said.

He said Chandrababu Naidu made tall claims that he built Hyderabad but the fact that he could not build anything Amravati, the new capital of the state.

Ram Madhav said the Centre had allotted Rs 3,500 crore for the development of the state capital. However, the Chandrababu Naidu government had not utilised it so far.

He said the BJP would go house-to-house to educate the people about the failures of the TDP government in the state.
