Liberal Fascism – The secret History of the Left from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning

Author - Jonah Goldberg

Read an interesting book on my kindle ‘Liberal Fascism’ by Jonah Goldberg. This Oxymoronic-sounding phrase was used by the author to actually show a mirror to the pseudo-Liberals in America.

You read it; and you get a feeling as though it was about the pseudo-Liberals that you encounter on a daily basis. Liberalism as an idea is not bad; but the so-called champions of it, just like the champions of Secularism, are largely a duplicitous lot – whether it is in America or in India.

This books highlights that duplicity through several thought-provoking statements like:

‘Fascists famously ruled by terror. Political correctness isn’t literally terroristic, but it does govern through fear’

‘If you fall outside the liberal consensus, you are either evil or an abettor of evil. This is the logic of the Volksgemeinschaft in politically correct jargon’

‘…. the constant manipulation of the language to keep conservatives – and other non-liberals – on the defensive is a necessary tactic for Liberal politics’

– How true!!

Liberals and the Left may dismiss it as a propagandist book. But where it shows a mirror to them, it also provides potent arguments to the victims of Liberal highhandedness
