National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ram Madhav Wednesday winded up his 3-day tour of Jammu and Kashmir and asked the BJP workers and leaders “to put in all their efforts to strengthen the party in Jammu and Kashmir”.
In a statement issued today, the BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said, Madhav presided over the core group meeting of the party leaders here and reviewed the performance of the PDP-BJP government.
“Madhav stressed on the core group members to ensure that common masses avail benefits of the pro-people policies of the central government and get benefited,” he added.
As per the statement, Madhav has stressed on the need to ensure that BJP leaders work towards making the PDP-BJP coalition strong and reach out to the people with the message of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Our party stands for development of all the regions and prosperity for all. It’s the duty of the party activists and the leaders to ensure that our message reaches out to everyone,” statement quoting Madhav added.
Statement quoting Madhav said the main aim of his Srinagar visit was to raise the morale of party workers in Kashmir and Jammu regions and to take the stock of membership drive.
“I am glad that we have registered 3.30 lakh members in Kashmir,” statement quoted him as having said.
